Understanding food cravings: Tools for a healthier relationship with food (Part 2)
Do you ever feel a strong, sudden desire to eat? Whether it's late-night snacking, mid-afternoon sugar urges at work, or an irresistible craving for crisps — you're not alone. In this interactive workshop, we will deepen our understanding of food cravings, and explore their various triggers, from physiological ones like blood sugar dips and nutrient imbalances to emotional drivers, stress responses, habits and environmental cues.
In Part 1 (February) we covered nutritional balance and other metabolic factors, which are crucial to be excluded as a cause for cravings and snacking. In this session we will look at:
🧠 The emotional, situational, habitual roots of cravings. What are our cravings really trying to tell us?
🌊 Mind body tools to meet your true need and how to ‘surf the wave’.
🍽️ Beliefs, attitudes, and rules around food which may be impacting on emotional eating and cravings.
🥑Eating techniques you can use every day to reduce frequency of food cravings.
Ways to balance healthy eating with food pleasure and make choices which are aligned to self-care and wellbeing.
Walk away with practical strategies to respond with awareness instead of impulse. All levels of nutrition knowledge are welcome.
