I am delighted to be offering this Saturday Afternoon Space for July and August only.
I will introduce you to Movement Medicine which is a type of active meditation and conscious dance practice. It was created by Ya'Acov and Susannah Darling Khan. It combines the freedom of free-form dancing with shamanic wisdom and modern science. You use your body's movements to express feelings, relieve stress, and feel more connected to yourself and nature.
Key Principles
Movement Medicine is designed to help you let go of thinking too much and get into your body.
No Rules: There is no "right way" to dance or move.
Embodiment: You focus purely on how your body feels in the present moment.
Integration: The goal is to bring the energy and freedom of the dance into your everyday life.
What Happens in a Class
A typical session is a mix of music, breathwork, and free movement.
Warm-up: Gentle movements to help you relax and notice your body.
The Wave: A journey through different types of music and movement styles (from slow and gentle to wild and high-energy).
Cool-down: Quiet time to sit, stretch, or lie down to process your experience.
Benefits of the Practice
Many people use this practice for physical and emotional wellness.
Emotional Release: It helps you process tough emotions like grief or anger.
Physical Health: It builds strength, balance, and flexibility.
Stress Relief: The rhythmic movement calms your brain and nervous system.
Community: You practice in a group, which helps build social connection.
I look forward to seeing you soon. Susan X You can book here
